Photography with space to breathe. An unhurried approach to light, composition, and the details that give an image its character.
Sean Michael Collection brings together fine art photography and private commissions by Sean Basham in Southern California. Explore landscape, nature, and aviation prints for homes and offices, with personal guidance on scale and framing.
Three sets built around a clear visual thread: granite against sky, light among leaves, and the warmth of autumn. Two open-edition trios are available year-round; the autumn set follows its seasonal release. Explore each photograph in your own space.
Collection 01 / Three works
Granite & Sky
Sunlit granite rises from deep shadow, framed by dark pines and open sky. Three black-and-white views move from the texture of a cliff face to a rounded summit beneath a passing aircraft trail.
Each frame includes a 2½ in white mat and a ¾ in frame face.
Collection 02 / Three works
Where the Light Falls
An ember-colored oak leaf, rain crossing a lit branch, and gold leaves emerging from shadow. Three close views of light finding its way through the foliage.
Each frame includes a 2½ in white mat and a ¾ in frame face.
Collection 03 / Seasonal trio
Autumn, Held in Light
A slender golden tree within the forest, a small tree below towering conifers, and a lone crown beneath a dark hillside. Three autumn portraits, linked by warm color and deep shade.
Each frame includes a 2½ in white mat and a ¾ in frame face.

A lone aircraft closes the distance to a formation of four. Against the dark sky, their fine trails hold the tension of a fleeting moment—just before five move as one.

Your room & scale
Room photos stay in your browser. Choose a JPG, PNG, or WebP up to 20 MB. Photograph the wall straight on, with a known horizontal measurement on that wall.
Set a real measurement
Measure a horizontal distance on the wall where the art will hang. Mark its two ends in the photo, then enter the distance. A tape-measure line or two marked points on the wall works well.
Or adjust the reference line with these sliders:
The example wall has a defined 12 ft width. Uploaded rooms use free preview scale until you apply a measurement.
Position your photograph
Use the placement buttons or sliders below, or the arrow keys while the preview is focused. Hold Shift for a larger step. Dragging is optional. On a phone, use the movement buttons, or enable touch dragging below. With touch dragging off, you can swipe the preview to scroll.
Free preview scale is disabled when a real measurement is active. Change the print size to compare physical sizes.
Print and overall frame dimensions are shown in inches. The example wall is an illustrated 12 ft wide wall. For your own room, set a known horizontal distance on the same wall plane to estimate the correct print scale. Use a straight-on photo: angled walls, lens distortion, and camera perspective can reduce accuracy. Final production specifications are confirmed in consultation.

About the photographer
The eye behind the collection.
Sean Basham
Photography began as a kind of escape. It gave me room to see, feel, and explore parts of myself that hadn’t always had space when I was younger. Over time, it became something different: a way to feel more present in my own life. Through the camera, I learned to appreciate both the grandeur of a vast landscape and the small, fleeting moments I might otherwise have missed.
Some of my most meaningful photographs will never be seen by the public. They hold the quiet, intimate moments of the people and things I care about most—moments that belong to our lives together. Those photographs remind me why I keep picking up a camera: to notice what matters and preserve something of how it felt to be there.
More than anything, I hope my work helps people feel present. I want a photograph to offer a moment to slow down, look closely, and notice something they might otherwise pass by. Whether it’s a sweeping landscape or a small detail, I hope it brings a sense of connection to the moment—and that living with it offers a reason to pause, even on an ordinary day.
